Leccociclabile cicloambientalista is an association that has found accommodation and purpose of intent within LEGAMBIENTE Lecco Onlus. Leccociclabile is associated with FIAB (Federazione Italiana Amici della Bicicletta) e alla ECF (European Cyclists Federation) e gli obiettivi che si pone vengono sintetizzati nei seguenti punti:
-promuovere e sviluppare la cultura e la pratica di un uso abituale della bicicletta quale mezzo di trasporto semplice, economico ed ecologico
-promuovere la realizzazione di strutture, provvedimenti e politiche che facilitino ed incentivino l'uso e la diffusione della bicicletta
-proporre provvedimenti per la moderazione del traffico e per la sicurezza stradale, in particolare nei riguardi di ciclisti e pedoni; avanzare proposte per la risoluzione dei problemi legati alla mobility and development of public transport; highlight and criticize the environmental and social damage caused by excessive use of private vehicle motor; promoting cultural action and concrete proposals to that effect
-promoting bicycle use in their free time with hiking mode to enhance the environmental and cultural history of the territory by organizing on their own or through the facilitation of events, trips, meetings and travel by bicycle, thus encouraging the practice of a walking-friendly environment.
